Our History
S.D College Gouripur was established by a group of educated villagers in 1982, who wanted to make their community and area educated. It was started in hurry without any planning, Later on villagers had a meeting to decide the future and challenges to run the collage, Five persons named as Late Naresh Mohan Rai,Late Kapildev Rai,Late Dinesh Chandra Rai,Late Ganesh Datt Rai,Sri Jagdambi Choudhary came forward and contributed their land for building construction, In starting days college was run in Khadi Bhandar complex.
The first appointed principal was Sri Ram Prakash Kunwar and second appointed principal was Sri Barun Kumar Roy
